Takaani (Tah-Kah-Nee) (“Of the Wild”) was one of two pups born in the wilds of Alaska. He and Denali were rescued from the wolf-killing that was taking place in that state, both by private citizens and government agencies.
He is an Alaskan black, slowly greying, with white appearing around his muzzle and chest. Eventually, he will be all gray-white, like the other wolves!
Takaani is an amazing character, much like a feisty teenaged boy. He lives with Denali and loves carrots, knuckle bones, and pumpkin.
